Freddie Gibbs - Str8 Killa No Filla (Mixtape)

Freddie Gibbs is hails from Gary, Indiana and is another up-and-coming artists repping the Midwest with the likes of the The Cool Kids, Chip the Ripper, Fly.Union, and others. I've been waiting on this mixtape every since I heard about the mixtape being in the works months ago.

I first started hearing of Freddie Gibbs about a year and half ago. His buzz has definitely grown over a year and being apart of the 2010 XXL 10 Freshman List has enhanced his exposure. With Gibbs being on that list, made me want to give him a listen. I never checked out any of the his material before this mixtape dropped because I didn't want to make any preconceived accusation and never give him a listen again. It's finally here and all I can say is, NICE! Str8 Killla No Filla is definitely a mixtape you need to here.

Freddie Gibbs also will be dropping Str8 Killa (EP) through iTunes August 3rd and will feature 9 tracks which will feature new tracks and tracks National Anthem (Fuck The World), Str8 Killa No Filla, and Personal O.G. that are from the mixtape.

New Music: Bun B - Right Now + It's Been A Pleasure

Bun B released two more tracks from Trill O.G. yesterday "Right Now" featuring Pimp C, 2 Pac, and Trey Songz and "It's Been A Pleasure" featuring Drake. An earlier version of "It's Been A Pleasure" was leaked months ago with just Drake verse and the hook.

The version on Bun B's album has no Drake verse, he just does the hook. Also, the hook has been changed to "From the H-Town" instead of "From the A-Town" which gives some notion that the track was originally for an artist out of Atlanta. The track is nice regardless and I can't wait for the album. Trill O.G. hits store Tuesday, August 3rd.

New Music: KiD CuDi - Mojo SO Dope (FULL/NO TAGS)

There was a snippet of this that dropped a while ago and straight from the moon (figuratively) here's the full version via HHU. This track will be on KiD CuDi's sophmore album Man On the Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager. I'm feeling this joint, the feel of the song and beat puts in space on the moon. I guess that's what it's suppose to do and no I don't smoke.

"Bitch, my mojo so dope/ Yea, we live it (live it)/ Yea, we on it (on it)/ Give a fuck about ya lifestyle/ Give a fuck about a muthafuckin' lifestyle cause, nigga/ We live this shit..." - KiD CuDi

New Music: J. Cole - Untitled (Prod. by Jim Jonsin)

This track does not have a title yet which is why it's called "Untitled" according to Hypetrak. You can kind of hear J. Cole humming sometimes and there's no hook/chorus. Supposedly, there will be and a singer to do the hook/chorus. Dope anyway so we'll have to wait to hear the finished product some time soon.

"How ironic, a trial for possession of some chronic/ My lawyer came to work, he was higher than a comet/ Hey your Honor is you kiddin', how you sit above me/ Are you perfect muthafucka, how you finna judge me..." - J. Cole

New Music: Bun B - CHUUCH!!!

"So ask Tip, ask Hova, ask Diddy/ Go ask Yeezy, Jeezy, and ask Fiddy/ And they'll tell ya I'm throwed when  I spit it/ And I'm still in here doin' it/ And you can't fuck with it..." - Bun B

Video: J. Cole Says Album Will Have No Features

J. Cole is featured in FUSE's Hip Hop Shop discussing with Toure about possible features on his debut album. J. Cole says, "I got to much to say to really be giving up verse spots."

I wish more new artist had the same mindset as J. Cole. Sometimes having major features on your first album can hurt a new artist because their verse may not live up to the other artists featured on the track. So, I like that he wants to show the world who J. Cole is first then save the features for future albums.

Video: Lil Wayne Feat. Gucci Mane - Steady Mobbin'

Lil' Wayne did a hell of a lot of videos before he went to jail. I guess he wanted the fans to steady remember him while he was in doing his time. Not like the whole Young Money crew wasn't going to be yelling "Free Weezy" until he was released anyway.

Drake Makes "Fireworks" In The Studio

Here is footage from the MTV documentary that was cut out, maybe due to time constraints. Drake makes the song "Fireworks" with his producer Noah "40" Shebib. Also, 40 talks about how the song "The Calm" came about which is from Drake's So Far Gone mixtape.

I've caught some of the documentary on MTV but not all of it. Needless to say but Drake puts his all in his music. He's very honest and upfront in his songs about what going on in his life which is rare in the music industry.

Von Pea - So Motivational! (Mixtape)

For the past two weeks Von Pea (of the group Tanya Morgan) leaked a track everyday from the So Motivational! mixtape which droppped in full yesterday. I've only heard 10 of the 14 tracks from the mixtape and needless to say the mixtape goes hard.

I've listened to a couple of tracks from Tanya Morgan in the past, such as there last mixtape The Sandwhich Shop, which I kind of overlooked. But now I'm looking forward to hearing more from them after hearing this mixtape.

Von Pea is woriking on a solo album Pea's Gotta Have It that's due September 7th.
